Installing Solar Power & Maintenance

Installing

The installation process is fast and relatively unobtrusive. This needs to be explained perhaps through a series of three ‘easy steps’’

  1. A site visit to assess the home’s power needs and to  suggest the optimum solution.

  2. Installation and system testing by trained professionals with as little disruption to the household as possible. Usually completed in 2-3 days.

  3. Seeing and experiencing first hand the security of power supply 24/7 and the costs savings.

 Photos and/or video of the installed systems will help and these will be provided.

Maintenance

Six monthly inspection and maintenance should be recommended on the website for which Flogalo will charge a modest fee.

Tax Exemption

Solar power technology is exempt VAT, as part of the government’s green energy incentives policies. This means that Kenyans who purchase solar panels, batteries, and other equipment for solar energy systems do not have to pay VAT on these items[1].

Solar power products are varied and quite technical. The website will need to list,  show and explain in plain language, the various products.
